It’s been nearly a month since the announcement that a bioplastics plant will build in the Knox County industrial park.

News of the 82 million dollar investment came on November 3rd when AgroRenew LLC and local government and economic development officials held a press conference informing the public of the planned processing facility which will repurpose food waste from Knox County’s watermelon, cantaloupe, and pumpkin industry into eco-friendly bioplastics….

CEO of Knox County Indiana Development Chris Pfaff says there has been a lot of essential preliminary busy work going on since the announcement…

The 196,000 square foot plant will be located along Elkhorn Road.

After it’s constructed there are plans to build a 16,000 square foot bioplastics research facility adjacent to the plant which will include 20 acres of test crops around it.
