Groundbreaking on a new biolplastics plant could happen in about eight weeks.

The Knox County industrial park off of US 41 will be the site for the AgroRenew plant that will will turn agricultural waste into biodegradable plastic.

The announcement about the 83 million dollar plant was made back in November.

AgroRenew’s founder and CEO Brian Southern, admits it’s a big assumption,  but the plan is to put shovels in the ground in mid-March.

Find out more about the plant and why it’s locating in Knox County on this week’s episode of First City Focus.
