An arrest has been made in Dubois County involving alleged threats toward a state official.
Indiana State Police say 24-year-old Joshua Wasson of Jasper was arrested Thursday after investigators reviewed social media posts and messages directed at Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith.
Police say the case began after detectives were contacted about the posts on a Meta platform.
Troopers interviewed Wasson at his workplace. During the investigation, police say suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were found in Wasson’s vehicle.
Wasson is charged with a felony count of intimidation against a public official, and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
